How many years have you worked in travel? 34 Years
How many years have you worked for Cruise Plus? I have been at Gold Medal for almost 24 years, and became Cruise Plus (and Pure Luxury) Sales Manager in December 2022
What do you like most about your job? Seeing and hearing the team sell amazing holidays everyday, working with our cruise partners to ensure our team are up to date with the latest offers and new product, and the general buzz of working in a very busy sales centre
How many countries have you visited? About 30
How many cruises have you been on? 4 so far but I definitely have fallen in love with cruising so that number will hopefully grow over the next year or two
Where’s next on your travel wish list? There are quite a few places I’d still like to tick off the list – Japan, Canada, Antarctic, the Pyramids with a Nile Cruise and South America
Can you speak any other languages? The odd bit of Spanish
When travelling what can’t you live without? My iPhone
Where in the world would you say your expertise lies? I’ve been lucky to have managed quite a few areas of the world over my time at Gold Medal so I have a good knowledge on pretty much everything we sell

What’s your top travel tip? Don’t overpack (we all do it though don’t we!), and don’t forget sunscreen, insect repellent & sunglasses
What was your favourite cruising experience and why? I took my mum along on my first cruise (it was her first time as well), and we sailed with Virgin Voyages. The whole experience of being in a different country every day combined with fantastic food, and views of the ocean every day was amazing and left us both with a love for cruise. I was lucky to be able to travel with Explora Journeys on Explora I’s maiden journey and again to take mum with me. To experience a totally different cruise line together was great, we loved the sheer luxury, and we were lucky to dine in Anthology where the menu was curated by a three Michelin starred chef, definitely a highlight for us both.
